Mondays

Writer: Tabatha JenkinsTabatha Jenkins

I never noticed how quickly

time goes by,

until I noticed my body

trying so desperatley to keep up.

The Earth seemed to spin so fast;

zooming past equinoxes,

seasons, and moons,

that I nearly vomited from the dizziness.

I kept slipping on bills and reciepts,

until my head finally collided

with all of my empty pantry shelves,

all the way to the unswept floor.

I could've laid there forever,

but it was already Sunday night,

and I had work in the morning.
